Upcoming Fixtures and General Update for Dublin GAA Juveniles Monday May 29th

Mon, 29th May 2017

As per the Master Fixture Juvenile Calendar for the 2017 Season issued December 2016 both CCC1 & CCC2 will issue no fixtures for the June Bank Holiday weekend.

I attach CCC2 fixtures covering the period Monday May 29th to Friday June 9th.

I also include details for the U10 Hurling Blitz on Saturday June 10th.

Each Host Club to collect medals from next Tuesday June 6th onwards from the Reception in Parnell Park daily between 9.30am and 4.30pm.

So far this year CCC2 has held 24 Finals. Some stand out highlights to date for me have been:

  • Skerries Harps winning the Féile Peil na nÓg Division 1 title for the first time.
  • Na Fianna winning the Féile na nGael Division 1 title also for the the club's first time.
  • The unusual pairing and colour in Parnell Park as Geraldine P. Moran took on Ballyfermot De La Salle in Football Féile Div.7 Final.
  • Westmanstown Gaels winning the Football Féile Div.5 Final in Extra Time against St Annes which was one of three Féile Peil na nÓg finals which took place in Tallaght Stadium.
  • St Peregrines to win the Hurling Féile Division 5 title with the last puck of the ball against a very unlucky Round Towers Lusk team ( correction)
  • St Vincent's playing in Division 2 of the League and going on to win the U16 Football "A" Championship

In our competitive U12 to U16 competitions we still have over 100 titles still be decided between now and early November.

For the non competitive U8, U9, U10 & U11 age grades we have seen +5% increase in activity since last year. Clubs should be aware of the note below concerning ability to change groupings for post summer activity.

CCC2 "Summer Fixtures" for the months of June , July and August.

  • All fixtures must be played on or in advance of the scheduled date. However, games (hereafter called Summer fixtures) which are scheduled between 1st June and 31st August 2017 (dates INCLUSIVE), may, with the agreement of BOTH teams, be played within a ten day period AFTER the scheduled fixture date. i.e. a game fixed for June 1st (a Summer fixture) can be played at any time from February 1st to June 11th inclusive, Likewise August 31st games may be played at any time from February 1st to September 10th inclusive, and so on.
  • In the case of a Summer Fixtures game being rearranged BOTH clubs must make contact via email with the secretary of CCC2 confirming the new date and time of the fixture, at least 48 hours in advance of the scheduled time.

CCC1:- U8 to U11 Groupings for post Summer activity

As outlined at the start of the year CCC1 will give clubs for the age groups U8 , U9 , U10 & U11 an opportunity to move between groupings for post Summer fixtures. Note: the U12 competitive fixtures in both codes for the remainder of the year already circulated. The relevant correspondence seeking an changes will be in the middle of June.

Camaint U11 & U12

CCC1 will seek entries from clubs later this week
