Brennan blow on comeback road

Ger Brennan’s chances of a return to competitive action have suffered a setback.

The St Vincent’s man had to pull up early in a recent training session and will not be considered for selection for Sunday’s All-Ireland SFC semi-final against Donegal.

“Ger just irritated his ankle again unfortunately. He was back kicking football with us, he was back playing, and he just irritated it again so it has been on ice for the last couple of days,” says Dublin manager Jim Gavin.

“We’re just taking one game at a time. We’re not looking beyond the challenge we have on Sunday and unfortunately he’s going to miss selection for that game.”
