Cork have great tradition at minor: Kevlihan

Cork have great tradition at minor: Kevlihan

Tue, 29th July 2014

Dublin minor football manager, Cyril Kevlihan, says the Dubs Leinster success is parked as they set their sights on Cork in Monday's Electric Ireland All-Ireland MFC quarter-final in Semple Stadium, Thurles (2.0).

The Rebels ran a highly-fancied Kerry close in the Munster MFC final so Dublin will face top quality opposition on Bank Holiday Monday.

"That we won last Sunday week (v Kildare in Leinster final) in some style was pleasing from the management side of things but it wasn't the complete performance by any means and we will look to improve on certain things in our play.

"The further you progress in the competition the tougher the matches become and we will look to improve again the next day against Cork," says Cyril.

"Munster football at this grade is very strong and competitive in recent years and Cork have a great tradition for producing strong teams at all grades.

"Having watched them they are physically very strong with some very talented forwards," adds Cyril.
