Dublin SHC quarter-finals: Routes to the last-eight

Fri, 6th October 2017

Reigning Dublin, Leinster and All-Ireland champions, Cuala, face St Brigid’s in O’Toole Park on Sunday in one of four Dublin SHC quarter-finals this weekend.

The Dalkey men secured their place in the last-eight with a comprehensive victory over previously unbeaten Crumlin last time out.

Opponents St Brigid’s put in a superb second half against Naomh Fionnbarra last Saturday week to progress to the quarters with Paul Winters scoring a massive 0-17 (0-11f) while Cian O’Sullivan has also been in impressive form up front for the Russell Park outfit.

Kilmacud Crokes, beaten finalists last year, face Na Fianna in the opening clash in Parnell Park on Sunday.

Crokes defeated St Vincent’s in their last match with Fergal Whitely scoring 0-8.

Rivals Na Fianna are well represented with many hurlers who have represented the county at underage in the not too distant past as they continue climb the ladder of Dublin hurling.
