Isles progress to Leinster club JHC quarter-final

Erin’s Isle, who this year are celebrating their centenary year, face Laois club Trumera in O’Toole Park this Saturday (2.0) in the Leinster club JHC quarter-finals after overcoming Kildare’s Maynooth last weekend.

The Finglas men ran out 1-20 to 0-9 winners in their preliminary round encounter at O’Toole Park.

Isle’s, following a slow opening, led by 11 points at the break with Fran Carroll and Graham Williams to the fore up front while midfielder Conor Kearney hit 0-9 from frees and play.

Man O War are in Leinster club JFC quarter-final action when they Crossabeg Ballymurn (Wexford) in Enniscorthy on Saturday.
