Dublin's under-16 footballers face Laois this Saturday night in the Gerry Reilly U16 Football Tournament Plate final in Oldcastle, Meath (7.0).
The young Dubs, who are managed by Dublin senior selector and former player Jason Sherlock, finished second in their group behind Monaghan after losing to the Farney County lads by one point (0-10 to 0-9) in their second game in their group.
In their opening match they accounted for Westmeath 4-16 to 0-7 and concluded the group stage with an impressive second half against Wicklow to prevail 4-17 to 0-10.

This tournament commemorates Gerry Reilly who died tragically in December ’87 at 16 years of age, and he had already proved to be a great footballer with huge potential to go on to great heights in the game.
