Following confirmation of the 2026 U16 Championship gradings, I can now confirm the Championship groupings and the detailed fixture schedule for the thirteen (13) Championship and thirteen (13) Shield competitions.
As these are the only Championships administered by CCC2, I also attach the 2026 U16 Football and Hurling Championship Regulations.
Please ensure that all mentors are familiar with these Regulations, as this will be the first occasion on which they will apply to many mentors during their involvement in CCC2 competitions.
In particular, please note the following:
A maximum of five substitutions is permitted during Normal Time. (A team may use up to 20 players where it has the required number of players available.)
A maximum of three substitutions is permitted during Extra Time.
There is no maximum score difference in the U16 Championships. The score difference cap that applies in CCC2 League competitions does not apply to the U16 Championships.
I would ask that all mentors make themselves familiar with the Championship Regulations in advance of their opening fixtures.
