Senior 1 Championship County Final
October 17th 2025 7.30pm Parnell Park.
On a perfect autumn night for Camogie, the defending Championships St Vincents took on Lucan Sarsfields who had been very impressive in their semi final win.
In front of a good crowd St Vincents started playing towards the church end with a very slight breeze at their backs.
Within 90 seconds, Vincents took the lead as Ava Lambe swung the ball over the bar. Lambe had an excellent game and at full time was awarded POTM.
In the third minute, Lucan got the best possible response as their impressive Eva Collis collected a dropping ball in the Vincents box and placed it in the corner of the Vincents net.
Unfortunately 2 minutes later Lucan lost the influential Aoife McKearney who had to leave the pitch due as a blood sub to an accidental facial injury. McKearney missed the rest of the first half.
The next 2 scores from play came from Niamh Hetherton and from Emma O’Byrne who pushed forward from her half back position.
On 15 minutes, Aisling Maher scored her first point of the night. Maher was to finish the game with a personal tally of 1-8 (5xf, 1x45).
19 minutes in saw Eva Collis pop over a free to level the game before Maher hit 2 of her dead ball scores.
As the first half ticked down, the excitement dialled up. First up Claire Donnelly hit the net for Vincents, but nearly before the crowd could sit down Collis matched her goal for Lucan.
Ais Maher had the last say of the half as she converted a 45 which she had won after a powerful run and ground strike was deflected wide by the Lucan defense.

Second Half:
McKearney returned for Lucan wearing No 30 but it was another Dublin star Maher who scored first from another free.
Vincent's grabbed another point before Lucan’s bad luck returned as they struck the post twice in the same attack.
3 minutes later another Aisling Maher free stretched the Vincent's lead to 6pts (1-10 to 2-1)
Maher then turned provider as she relied on total calmness to pick out Tessa Lambe on the Lucan 20m line. Lambe made no mistake splitting the posts.
41 minutes saw another Maher free before Lucan finally registered their first point of the second half. Lucan seemed to dominate possession at this stage as Jessie McClelland added to their tally from a long range free, however this period of play also saw Lucan hit 3 wides which seemed to let Vincent's off the hook.
With time ticking down and a healthy lead St Vincent's introduced some subs. Caitlin McKenna was one of these and certainly impressed in the full
forward line grabbing a point and causing the Lucan defense some problems.
With 6 minutes left Lucan’s Ellen Dunphy hit their second score of the second half. However the gap was still 7points
The impressive Aine Woods for Vincent's scored a fine point followed by Lucan’s top scorer Collis added to her personal tally of 2-2.
Collis at this stage was potentially the game’s top scorer until Maher finished in style scoring 1-1 in the final minutes.
Final whistle St Vincents 2-15. Lucan Sarsfield 2-04.
Well done to both teams on a high quality game but there can be only one winner. Big congratulations go to St Vincent's who move forward into the Leinster club semi final in 2 weeks time.
