Dublin have blended youth and experience for Sunday's Leinster SHC round-robin round 1 clash with Kilkenny in Parnell Park (2.0) - manager Pat Gilroy hopes it's a potent brew.
Dublin starting 15 includes two SHC debutants - Paddy Smyth and Bill O’Carroll while Rian McBride, Jake Malone and Fergal Whitely will be making starting debuts but have all been introduced off the bench during summer action in the past.
There are three members of Cuala's back-to-back All-Ireland club SHC winning panel involved - Cian O'Callaghan, club hurler of year Seán Moran and Jake Malone.
Following Sunday's clash the Dubs then play Wexford (May 20), Offaly (June 3) and (June 9) in the coming weeks in the new round-robin section.
Prior to the senior hurlers' game, our minor hurlers will also face Kilkenny in Parnell Park this Sunday (12pm) in their first game of the Leinster Championship.
