Commiserations to Dublin Junior Champions Raheny who have exited the AIB Junior club championship this afternoon (Sat Nov 1st) following a heartbreaking one point defeat to Kilkenny champions, Muckalee.

Raheny corner forward Cliodhna McHugh struck for two first half goals with Anna Murphy also raising a green flag for the Dublin champions during the opening period of the contest. Raheny took a slender led into the half time dressing room (HT 3-02 to 1-07).

The second period of the game was keenly contested with both sides trading scores. As the game edged into the final quarter Muckalee edged ahead by three points.

Despite another Cliodhna McHugh goal Raheny could not close the gap with Muckalee running out worthy winners on the final whistle. FT Raheny 4-04 Muckalee 2-11.

Muckalee will now play St Colmcilles of Meath in the Leinster Junior club provincial final. Despite today's loss Raheny can look forward to playing Intermediate club championship football in 2026.
