There is a lot of information in this update, but it is important that all Club Mentors are made fully aware of its contents.
I attach the CCC2 fixtures covering Saturday 26 September and Sunday 27 September.
Please note that this Excel spreadsheet is only a snapshot of the fixtures as they stood on 18 September 2026.
The most up-to-date status of all fixtures, and in particular the assigned referee, is available on the Dublin GAA website:

Mentors should check their respective competitions on the website early next week to confirm that the referee originally assigned to their fixture is still available before making contact with the referee.
Referee Appointments – Important Notice
The above applies to every weekend, but is particularly important this weekend.
As you are aware, CCC2 continues to face a chronic shortage of referees to officiate our fixtures. Our referee panel is also being drawn upon by the Adult CCC, the LGFA and Camogie, resulting in a significant number of matches proceeding without an appointed referee in attendance.
This situation is both unfortunate and extremely disappointing.
Clubs are also contributing to these difficulties by:
Failing to provide CCC2 with sufficient referees, and in some cases providing none.
Changing fixture times without considering whether the assigned referee has another fixture to attend.
Sourcing their own referees without adhering to CCC2 regulations, while the Referee Administrator continues to seek an appointed referee up to the start of the match.
Changing venues without considering the potential impact on the assigned referee, who may have another fixture at the original venue.
This situation will continue until Clubs take a more proactive approach to addressing the problem. Clubs must move away from focusing solely on their own teams and recognise their responsibility to contribute to the wider CCC2 referee programme by providing more referees from their own Club.
For the remainder of 2026, CCC2 will endeavour to cover U16 Championship fixtures. Where necessary, CCC2 may also need to reallocate referees to fixtures or venues based on referee availability and the needs of the overall programme.
Where a Club has provided little or no referees to support the overall CCC2 programme, CCC2 reserves the right to reassign a referee already allocated to that Club’s fixture to another fixture where the wider needs of the programme require it.
CCC2 makes no apology for taking this approach.

It is completely unacceptable for any Club or Mentor to direct frustration or inappropriate communication towards Danny in his role as CCC2 Referee Administrator.
Danny is a volunteer, as are all those involved in the administration of juvenile GAA games in Dublin, and he gives a significant amount of his time to providing referees for the CCC2 programme.
The issue of Clubs failing to provide referees from their own Club has been highlighted repeatedly over many years. The continued shortage places a significant additional burden on the CCC2 Ref Admin function, and Clubs must recognise their responsibility to support the referee programme.
Please ensure that all Mentors and relevant Club personnel are made aware of the above and use the CCC2 Ref Admin email address for all referee-related issues.
U14 Hurling Cup and Shield Knockout Fixtures
Following completion of the U14 Hurling Phase Two games, I attach the knockout fixtures, as previously issued, for seven (7) Cup and seven (7) Shield U14 Hurling competitions.
Please note the following:
Following the submission of U14 panels, as required by 25 August, only players named on the relevant panel may be used in subsequent U14 Hurling and Football fixtures.
In addition, U14 teams should note the following provisions under Regulation 12:
Partial extracts only
The maximum number of younger age-grade players permitted to play on any match day is three (3). This regulation applies to all applicable competition grades.
Teams progressing to a final must adhere to the original panel list submitted by 25 August 2026. For Clubs with more than one team participating in a competition, no movement of players between panels, per code, is permitted.
Regulation 15.5 – U14 Knockout Games
This regulation applies to U14 knockout games and does not apply to the U16 Championships.
All U14 knockout games will include extra time:
Two periods of 10 minutes each.
If the teams remain level, two further periods of 5 minutes each will be played.
If the teams are still level after extra time, the game will be replayed.
