Thu, 6 November 2025

Cian O’Sullivan has been named on the GAA’s PwC All-Star Hurling Team of the Year for 2025.

The St Brigids clubman takes his place in the half-forward line on the team, which was announced this morning ahead of Friday’s All-Star awards ceremony.

Cian earned the award after  a superb season in Blue, as he helped Dublin reach the All-Ireland Semi Finals.

He ended the season as joint top-scorer from play in the Championship, with 5-22 to his name in 2025, alongside Tipperary’s John McGrath (7-16).

Cian helped Dublin to a famous win over Limerick in the All-Ireland Quarter Final, scoring 1-1 on the day.

In all, there are seven players on the team from Tipperary, four from Cork, two from Kilkenny and one each from Dublin and Galway.

Also nominated this year for Dublin were John Bellew, Conor Burke and Seán Currie.

Cian becomes Dublin Hurling’s eighth ever All-Star award recipient, following in the footsteps of Mick Bermingham, Brian McMahon, Alan McCrabbe, Gary Maguire, Liam Rushe (x2), Peter Kelly and Danny Sutcliffe.

The All-Star awards ceremony takes place on Friday evening.
