Dublin face Galway in this Sunday’s Bord na Móna Walsh Cup semi-final (2.0) – the winners progressing to the decider on Saturday week in Croke Park.

The Walsh Cup final will form the curtain-raiser to the Dublin v Kerry NFL Round 1 tie – maybe an early season incentive for Ger Cunningham’s men to clock up some Croke Park experience.

The Dubs have racked up some impressive scores en route to Sunday’s semi-final beating UCD 4-15 to 3-12, Antrim 3-25 to 1-17 and then Laois 2-20 to 1-9 last Sunday in O’Moore Park, Portlaoise.

The Dublin camp are looking forward to Sunday’s encounter against the Tribesmen.

“There’s a nice little rivalry developing there between Dublin and Galway, seeing as we play each other so often,” says Dublin defender Paul Schutte.

“It’s a good competitive game to get. It’ll stand to us,” says Dublin manager Ger Cunningham.
