Dublin's Donal Burke will represent Ireland in this Saturday's annual Hurling/Shinty international at the National Games Development Centre, Abbottstown.
The talented Na Fianna man, who excelled in last weekend's U21HC 'A' victory for his club over St Vincent's, is part of the Irish U21 panel who will face the Scots in the curtain-raiser (12.0) to the senior clash (2.0).
Cuala manager Willlie Maher along with Kilkenny’s Conor Phelan will be taking the reins of the Irish senior team again, hoping to bounce back from their narrow two point loss to the Scottish contingent last year.
International matches between Hurling and Shinty teams have taken place since 1896, Scotland being the more victorious team for the majority of the games.
