Dublin LGFA Announces Gaeltacht Scholarships 2026
Tá áthas ar Cumann Peil Gael na mBan Áth Cliath, mar chuid dá bpolasaí cultúrtha agus teanga, scoláireachtaí Gaeltachta a thairiscint arís i mbliana do scoláirí iar-bhunscoile atá ag freastal ar chúrsaí cónaithe sa Ghaeltacht in 2026. Is deis iontach í seo do dhaoine óga a gcuid Gaeilge a fhorbairt, taithí shaibhir chultúrtha a fháil, agus cairde nua a dhéanamh trí mheán na teanga.
Dublin LGFA is as part of their cultural and language policy delighted once more to offer scholarships to post primary students who are attending residential Gaeltacht Irish Language Courses.
There will be four partial scholarships of €500 each and they are open to post primary students who are registered members of a Dublin LGFA affiliated club.
The successful applicants will be decided by means of a draw and applications are welcome from students of any level of Irish provided they are attending a Gaeltacht Course in 2026.
The scholarship will be paid to the parent or guardian of the student and successful applicants will need to provide evidence of confirmed booking/payment to the Gaeltacht College.
The closing date for applications is Wednesday March 18th by 5pm with successful candidates informed the same week.
The successful students will be invited to attend an event of the Dublin LGFA County Board whereby they will be presented with their scholarships by Chairperson, Joe Keane.
Conditions:
1. Students must be current registered members of the LGFA with a Dublin affiliated club.
2. One application only per student - if applying for 2 students, example siblings, complete 2 applications.
3. Applications are accepted for students of any level of Irish provided they are attending a Gaeltacht Course in 2026.
4. The Scholarship will be paid to the parent or guardian of the student and successful applicants will need to provide evidence of confirmed booking/payment to the Gaeltacht College.
