DUBLIN star Hannah Tyrrell has claimed the ZuCar Golden Boot award for 2025 – the prize on offer for the leading scorer in the TG4 All-Ireland Championships.
Tyrrell’s final tally of 6-28 (46 points) saw her finish three points clear of Antrim’s Maria O’Neill (8-19 – 43 points).
Tyrrell (34), from the Na Fianna club, landed five points (including three frees) in last Sunday’s TG4 All-Ireland Senior Championship final victory over Meath at Croke Park, after which she announced her retirement from inter-county football.
And that match haul was good enough to hold off the challenge of O’Neill, who scored 0-3 in Antrim’s Junior final defeat against Louth.
The remainder of the top five is completed by players from Louth, Tyrone and Fermanagh.
