Dublin sides to clash in Celtic Challenge semi-final

Dublin Clarke and Dublin Plunkett have been drawn to face each other in this Saturday's Bank of Ireland Celtic Challenge Corn John Scott (U17 hurling) semi-final.

The game is taking place in Donaghmore Ashbourne and will be streamed live by GAA Now and Pundit Arena (3.15).

The two Dublin sides also met during the round-robin phase when Dublin Clarke defeated Dublin Plunkett 6-18 to 1-16 in Group C on Wednesday, May 22 in O'Toole Park.

A strong opening quarter laid the platform for Dublin Clarke's victory with goals from Matthew Lynam and Adam Drewett giving Clarke a 2-7 to 0-2 lead by the 12th minute.

Last Saturday Dublin Plunkett defeated Kilkenny Black 2-13 to 1-10 (Pitch 1) while Dublin Clarke overcame Tipperary Blue 4-11 to 2-14 (Pitch 4) in the Corn John Scott quarter-finals in Abbotstown.

Earlier in the competition Dublin Clarke and Plunkett both participated in Group C of the Celtic Challenge during the round-robin phase with Dublin Clarke finishing as runners-up behind the unbeaten Wexford.

Clarke enjoyed wins over Laois, Plunkett and Offaly after losing their opening game to Wexford.

Plunkett lost their opening three games to Wexford, Offaly and Dublin Clarke before defeating Laois in their concluding game.
