Dublin South Schools Reach Leinster Hurling Final With Win Over St Kieran's College

Dublin South Schools reached the Corn Uí Dhúill Leinster Schools Senior Hurling Final, with a dramatic comeback win over St Kieran’s College, Kilkenny in Ratheniska on Saturday afternoon.

Dublin South trailed by seven points early in the second half, but staged a comeback to win by 2-13 to 1-13 and seal their place in next weekend’s Leinster Final.

A last minute Joey Dunne goal sealed a 2-13 to 1-13 win.

Darragh Geraghty, James O’Brien and Conor Cleary impressed for Dublin South, with Niall Fitzgibbon striking their all-important first goal late on.

However it was Joey Dunne’s goal deep into injury time which proved the difference- hitting the net from distance to claim the win.

Dublin South now face Good Counsel New Ross in the Leinster Final next week.
