RESULT Dublin 3-11 (20) Offaly 2-07 (13)

Dublin U14’s have booked their place in the All-Ireland U14 Gold Final following an epic battle with Offaly in Portlaoise.

Dublin trailed the Faithful County at the break by 0-04 to 1-04. On the resumption it was the Offaly girls who continued to dominant proceedings despite Dublin registering their opening goal of the game. With 15 mins gone Offaly lead by 2-07 to 1-06.

Dublin grew into the game showing great determination while at the same time curtailing the Offaly forwards. Such was Dublin dominance in the final ten minutes they registered 2-05 without reply to claim a famous victory and book their first in the All-Ireland final versus Kerry on June 8th next.

Hard to fathom but today’s semi-final victory has bridged a seven-year gap since Dublin last appeared in an All-Ireland final at this specific age group. Back in 2018 a Dublin team which featured current senior stars Niamh Crowley, Annabelle Timothy and Sophie McIntyre lost out narrowly to Cavan in the decider.
