Dublin introduced several players during the course of the contest with forward Ellen Leddy Doyle from Clontarf bagging an impressive 1-02 off the bench. Neala Byrne from Cuala also had a fine outing in the sky-blue jersey.

Next Tuesday July 8th the Dubs travel to Meath for their second-round game. Details of the fixture are still to be confirmed. Reigning champions, Meath began their campaign with a fine win over Kildare, FT Meath 1-16 (19) Kildare 0-04 (4).
