Tue, 7th May 2019

Kilmacud Crokes made it a Bank Holiday weekend to remember when they defeated Ballyboden St Enda's 4-10 to 0-16 in Monday's Feile Peil (U14) Division 1 final at Parnell Park.

There were 150 matches played over the weekend across ten divisions culminating in a very impressive display by the Stillorgan outfit against their southside rivals.

Crokes struck for their first goal in the 12th minute when Ciaran O'Donovan rifled his shot to the Boden net after an evenly balanced opening at both sides tried to find their feet.

Just before the break O'Donovan added his second goal as his side led 2-5 to 0-3 at the break.

Player of the Match, Joe Quigley, who finished with a personal tally of 2-7 (0-4f) grabbed Crokes third goal early in the second half and before Boden had time to fully recover he had added his second goal.

Boden battled hard and were rewarded with points from Zach Nolan and Sean Keary.

But the goals they needed if they were going to mount a challenge never materialized as Crokes ran out 16-point victors.

In the Division 2 decider Erin's Isle highlighted all the great work going on in the club with an impressive 4-6 to 2-3 victory over Clontarf at Parnell Park.

Goals from Harry Page and Cillian Chatham were vital as Whitehall Colmcille edged out Round Tower Clondalkin 2-7 to 0-10 in the Division 3 decider at O'Toole Park.
