Dublin play Cork at Croke Park in the preliminary quarter-final of the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship this Saturday as the Boys in Blue look to keep their championship summer alive.
Championship encounters between the Dubs and the Rebels are a rare occurrence, and over the years, Dublin have had the better of Cork in the majority of championship games between the two.
2025 marks 30 years since one of the best Dublin performances against this weekend's opponents, as Pat O'Neill's Dubs edged out Cork 1-12 to 0-12 in the All-Ireland semi-final.
Cork were the ones who started quicker; Colin Corkery and Mark O'Sullivan troubled the scoreboard as the Rebels found their feet.
But Dublin legend Jason Sherlock, who was in the middle of his breakthrough season, turned the tide in Dublin's favour when he shrugged off Mark O'Connor to bury the ball into the Cork net.
Charlie Redmond then followed up his two converted frees with a third point from the dead ball to give Dublin the lead for the first time in the 27th minute.
O'Sullivan would peg the Dubs back, but the Boys in Blue held a two-point lead at the interval.
