Friends of Dublin Hurling Update

Mon, 12th February 2024

Friends of Dublin Hurling made the first trip of 2024 to Corrigan Pk, which as we know saw the boys in blue getting their opening League points of 2024.

The next away trip will be to Galway to take on the Tribesmen.

Expanding!

FODH are looking to expand their committee!

Generally when people hear that they immediately think of meetings and work, however let us put you in the picture!

We organise bus trips to away hurling games, a golf classic, an Awards Night and hold an AGM.

The way FODH delegate work is 1 person has been happy to take on the organising of the buses, and then a sub committee takes on the golf classic which means the work is evenly distributed.

The work for the Awards Night is done by the entire committee, with people taking on their area of expertise.

Meetings are kept to a minimum and never last more than 1.5 hours.

Presently we are seeking a treasurer, so would you be the person to take on this role? Maybe a young accountant needing experience? We are also very welcoming of others who might like to put their name to FODH. It has led us to making many new friends and that is never a bad thing.

If you think this position might interest you give chairperson Eugene Davey a call at 087 699 5593 or Rúnaí/PRO Máire Uí Scolaí at 087 279 7090.
