Go-Ahead Ireland AHL 3 & AHL 4 Round-Up
Wed, 25 June 2025

With promotion already decided at the summit of the Go-Ahead Ireland Dublin Adult Hurling League Division 3 table, attention turned to the contest to remain in the division onTuesday night.

At Shanganagh Park, Cuala handed themselves a much-needed lifeline as they narrowly got the better of Round Towers Clondalkin by 1-26 to 5-12.

The foundation for their win lay in excellent individual performances from Darragh Clancy at centre-back and Adam Sheerin at midfield while Shane Hayes made the most of the free-taking opportunities that came his way.

Despite the concession of five goals, the Dalkey outfit did just enough to pick up their third win of the season with Fionn Ó Muirí’s goal and a number of Colum Sheanon points from play edging them home.

At the 12th Lock, Lucan Sarsfields moved towards mid-table security when getting the better of St Vincent’s by 2-21 to 4-10.

Colm Keenan scored 1-2 for the hosts, who kept in control through the scoring returns of Evin Dowling (0-4), Joey Dunne (0-3) and Cian McHugh (0-5).

Elsewhere, Na Finna’s survival hopes weren’t helped as they fell to Setanta by 5-19 to 0-16 at St Mobhi Road while Naomh Fionnbarra cemented their top half position when edging O’Toole’s by 2-16 to 1-16.

Go-Ahead Ireland AHL3: Lucan Sarsfields 2-21 St Vincent’s 4-10; Scoil Uí Chonaill 0-12 Bray Emmets 2-24; Naomh Fionnbarra 2-16 O’Toole’s 1-16; Cuala 1-26 Round Towers Clondalkin 5-12; Na Fianna 0-16 Setanta 5-19; Commercials v Naomh Olaf OFF.

In Go-Ahead Ireland AHL4, Kilmacud Crokes maintained their perfect campaign to date when easing past Ballyboden St Enda’s by 7-22 to 0-20 in Sancta Maria.

Dan Toomey was in sparkling form for the visitors as he plundered 2-2 in the early stages and a brace of Andy Cullinane points saw Crokes move into an early nine-point lead.

The procession towards the home goal continued with scores by Finian Donoghue, Shane Ryall, Tommy Butler and Conal Criostóir emphasising their control.

Butler added another Crokes goal as the contest evolved and with Cullinane impressing from centre-forward, the visitors cruised to their tenth successive win thanks to four Conor Hayes points from play and 1-2 by substitute Steve McEntee.

Kilmacud will be joined in AHL3 next year by a Crumlin side that secured their promotion when defeating St Peregrine’s by 5-17 to 1-20 at Blakestown Park.

The final scoreline wasn’t an accurate reflection of an encounter that was keenly contested throughout with the ability of the visitors to find the net proving the difference by the final whistle.

Lee Coleman and Conor Murphy raised crucial green flags for a Crumlin outfit that remained on the front foot through five points from play by Sam Caswell.

At the opposite end of the field, full-back Darragh Fitzgerald, corner-back Kyle Clare and Shane Lawlor at wing-back all impressed with substitute Darragh Faye kicking the insurance goal for the visitors.
