The Leinster Council on Wednesday night deferred a decision on venues for its 2018 provincial SFC quarter-finals, bar one, until after first round games are completed.
Dublin will face the winners of Offaly and Wicklow, but the Leinster CCC won’t finalise a venue until next May.
Then it will decide whether to bring Dublin to a provincial venue (as has happened the last two summers) or to stage their opener as part of a Croker double-header.
Longford will host their quarter-final with Meath subject to the completion of redevelopment works at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park.
