LGFA - PTSB Senior Club Championship Rd 3 Previews

PTSB SFC Group A:

Cuala v Kilmacud Crokes, Venue: Hyde Road-Dalkey, 19.00pm

This local derby will be a key game for the home side as they enter round three of the championship with two defeats under their belts. Cuala’s opponents Kilmacud Crokes have to date claimed victories over Fingallians and O’Dwyers. Crokes will travel to Dalkey with high expectations of another victory as they continue the defence of their senior crown.

PTSB SFC Group A:

O’Dwyers v Fingallians, Venue: Bremore Park, 19:00;

This may be a perfect opportunity for O’Dwyers to register their first win of the 2026 senior championship as they take on a Fingallians side at home who have struggled to find their championship form. O’Dwyers competed well against Crokes in round two despite experiencing a defeat to the reigning champions. The Balbriggan girls will be looking to build on that performance.

PTSB SFC Group A:

Na Fianna v Clontarf, Venue: St Mobhi Road, 19:00.

The game of the round in Group A will be the meeting of Na Fianna and

Clontarf at Mobhi Road. Both teams are level on six points at the top of the Group A table alongside Kilmacud Crokes. Na Fianna’s last two performances have been impressive as they play away without the services of experienced duo Leah Caffrey and Hannah Tyrrell. Clontarf have been the inform side of the championship to date with comprehensive victories over O’Dwyers and Fingallians respectively.

PTSB SFC Group B:

Thomas Davis v Ballyboden St Endas, Venue: Kiltipper Road, 19:00

Another local derby this time over on Kiltipper Road as Thomas Davis and Ballyboden lock horns in round three. Thomas Davis enjoyed a good win over Pobal Parnell in the opening round of the competition only to lose out to St Sylvesters last week. Ballyboden drew with Castleknock in week one but bounced back with a comfortable win over the aforementioned Pobal Parnell last week. This has all the makings of a fierce contest.

PTSB SFC Group B:

St Sylvesters v Castleknock, Venue: Broomfield, 19:30.

This fixture will be another interesting contest. St Sylvesters on paper may look to be too strong for Castleknock but the Somerton girls have shown before that they have the capabilities to pull off a shock result when pushed. St Sylvesters got their campaign underway last week with a win over Thomas Davis while Castleknock drew with Ballyboden in round one with a magical injury time free kick to deny the Firhouse crew the victory.

Elsewhere the PTSB Intermediate and Junior championship continues with several key encounters down for decision.

Scoil Ui Chonaill v St Maurs, Ref: Kevin O Donnell, Venue: Clontarf Road, 19:00; Raheny v St Judes, Ref: Greg O Donnell, Venue: St Annes No 9, 19:00.

PTSB IFC Group B:

Templeogue Synge Street v Lucan Sarsfields, Ref: Ronald Malone, Venue: Dolphin Park, 19:00; St Brigids v Clann Mhuire, Ref: Ray McBride, Venue: Russell Park, 19:00.

PTSB JFC A Group A:

Kilmacud Crokes B v Man O War, Ref: John Doherty, Venue: Pairc De Burca, 19:00; Skerries Harps v Clontarf B, Ref: Angela Gallagher, Venue: Skerries, 19:15.

PTSB JFC A Group B:
