Dublin vs Kildare

Dublin management have made two changes to their team selection for this Sundays TG4 Leinster senior final showdown with Kildare. Michelle Davoren and Laura Grendon return to the starting line up with Jodi Egan and Rachel Hartnett making way.

The last provincial final meeting between the two sides took place back in 2009 with Dublin defeating the lilywhites on that occasion by 5-08 to 0-12 on route to their sixth provincial title. Sinéad Aherne was the game’s top scorer with a superb tally of 3-04.

Just two weeks ago, Dublin and Kildare clashed in the second round of the 2026 provincial championship. It was Dublin who emerged winners from that contest on a score line of 2-14 (20) to 1-11 (14). Carla Rowe and Michelle Davoren on target for the Dubs goals with Aoife Murnane raising the green flag for Kildare.

There is no doubt that Kildare are hitting top form and will come into Sunday’s encounter buoyed by their championship performances to date. Experienced defender Ruth Sargent, along with midfielder Gillian Wheeler have been in excellent form this season while Aoife Rattigan and Alannah Prizeman present a serious scoring threat upfront.

Tickets for Sunday’s game can be purchased from Ticketmaster and from usual GAA tickets outlets. Those unable to make the trip to Croke Park can watch the game live on the TG4 YouTube channel from 11:55am. The Leinster GAA decider between Dublin and Westmeath will follow the women’s final at 2pm. Two games not to be missed.

Dublin managers Derek Murray and Paul Casey are looking to guide their County to a 20th provincial title this Sunday at Croke Park. Dublin take on Kildare in the 2026 TG4 Leinster Final.
