Paul Mannion will be available to Jim Gavin for this Sunday’s Leinster SFC semi-final against Kildare.

The Kilmacud Crokes forward was sent off in Dublin’s Leinster SFC quarter final win over Louth a fortnight ago.

After that game, Dublin manager Gavin told Dubs TV that he felt it was a harsh decision.

“My initial reaction was that it wasn’t a red card”, he said.

“He certainly got the ball first…at best it would have been a yellow..and it would’ve been a harsh one at that. I’m disappointed with it and we’ll just have to have a closer look."

Dublin requested a hearing, which took place yesterday.

The Central Hearings Committee found that the alleged offence of “behaving in a way which is dangerous to an opponent” could not be proven, so no penalty has been imposed.

It means Mannion will now be available for selection for Sunday’s game at Croke Park.
