Dublin will be hoping to get their summer back on track, after missing out on a second provincial final in a row.

Seán Currie has been in good form this championship and currently has 4-44 to his name from his Leinster campaign. Brian Hayes and Cian O'Sullivan have also impressed during this season's Championship campaign.

This weekend's opponents and hosts go into the game on a high; they won the Joe McDonagh Cup last weekend with an impressive 10-point win over Laois.

Second-half goals from Jack Travers and Jack Sheridan helped the Lillies pull away from their fellow Leinstermen to win their first-ever Joe McDonagh Cup.

They also won promotion from Allianz Hurling League Division 2 this year but were beaten in the league final earlier this year by Down.

They'll meet Dublin in the league and Leinster championship next year and they'll be hoping to lay down an early marker by ending our summer this weekend.

Kildare's impressive performance at the weekend proves the threat they pose, with David Qualter one man to watch in particular.

He scored 1-65 throughout the league and showed his form once again last Sunday when he scored 0-13 with 11 of those points coming from frees.

Sheridan and Gerry Keegan will also be amongst several attackers hoping to cause Dublin a headache this Saturday as Dublin make a short trip to our county neighbours.

The winners of our preliminary quarter-final clash will face a massive test against Limerick in the last six of the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship on the weekend of the 21st/22nd June.
