By Conor MartinThu, 14 August 2025

The Go-Ahead Ireland Senior 1 Hurling Championship heats up this weekend as the third round of games takes place this weekend.

Group 1

Craobh Chiaráin and Naomh Barróg meet in the first of this weekend at Parnell Park and will be hoping to kick-start their 2025 championship after the two teams lost their first two games.

Elsewhere, Ballyboden St Endas and Na Fianna meet at Dublin headquarters on Saturday. Ballyboden beat Naomh Barróg well in their first game, but went down to a defeat to Lucan Sarsfields in their second game. Defending champions Na Fianna have made a 100% start so far with wins against St Judes and Naomh Barróg, but will be ready for a tougher test this weekend.

Group 1 is rounded off when Lucan Sarsfields take on St Judes. Lucan have also won both of their games this championship and will be hoping to keep that going on Saturday, but will be made to work for the points by a talented Judes team.

Group 2

In Group 2, the two teams who have made winning starts face off at Parnell on Friday night when St Vincents take on Kilmacud Crokes in what should be an exciting game, with the winner taking top spot in Group 2.

The Vinnies thrashed St Oliver Plunkett/Eoghan Ruadh 6-27 to 1-19 in their first outing of the summer before they dispatched Cuala with ease.

Crokes are also hoping to make three wins from three after previously beating St Brigids and St Oliver Plunkett/Eoghan Ruadh.

On Saturday, Cuala take on St Brigids, hoping for a first win after losing their first two games. While Brigids will hope to make it two wins from two after bouncing back from that defeat to Kilmacud by beating Whitehall Colmcilles.

Whitehall Comcilles have a win and a defeat to their name so far this championship and will hope to heap more misery on St Oliver Plunkett/Eoghan Ruadh this weekend.
