PREVIEW: Go-Ahead Ireland Senior 1 Hurling Semi-Finals
By Conor MartinFri, 10 October 2025

The race for the Dublin Senior Hurling title goes up yet another notch this weekend, as the final four remaining clubs play in the Go-Ahead Ireland Senior 1 Hurling Semi-Finals at Parnell Park on Sunday.

Lucan Sarsfields take on Ballyboden St Endas in the opening game at 2pm.

Lucan went out at this stage last year and narrowly lost their unbeaten record in this year's championship, when they went down to Na Fianna in Group 1, finishing as the group’s runners-up.

They went toe-to-toe with St Brigids in their quarter-final, and despite the sides being locked at 0-9 apiece at the midway point, Lucan pulled away in the second half to record a 2-22 to 1-16 win.

Paul Crummey and substitute David Mulqueen were the goalscorers for Sarsfields, while Charlie Keher also impressed for Lucan, who got over the line comfortably despite losing Sean Harkness to a second yellow.

Ballyboden St Endas finished third in Group 1, winning three games and losing two, including a four-point defeat to their semi-final opponents, Lucan.

They would overcome the obstacle of St Vincents in the quarter-final after extra time, after making a fast start- Darragh Kenny scored a goal inside 15 minutes to help Boden into a deserved 1-13 to 0-12 half-time lead.

Niall McMorrow and Kenny would then prove crucial as the game progressed, with McMorrow scoring six points, while Fionn Murphy and Luke McDwyer scored insurance points in extra-time to book their place in the last four.

Group 2’s final representation and last year's beaten finalists, Kilmacud Crokes, take on Na Fianna at Dublin GAA headquarters at 4pm on Sunday.

Crokes won every game except for their last group outing, which was against Cuala. But they bounced back with an impressive display in their quarter-final.

They recorded a 3-27 to 0-18 win against Naomh Barróg and were in control throughout, thanks to points from Oisín O’Rorke and a trio of scores from play from Alex Considine; they led by five at the break, 0-14 to 0-9.

Brian Hayes and Brendan Kenny helped Crokes keep their grip on the quarter-final with a goal each. Fergal Whitely picked up four points from himself and a 1-3 from substitute Michael Roche, saw the seven-time Dublin champions home in style.

Na Fianna won all of their Group 1 games with a points difference of +60. However, they had to dig deep in a thrilling 2-37 to 2-34 extra-time quarter-final victory over Cuala. Dónal Burke and Seán Currie helped the Glasnevin men to a 2-15 to 1-14 lead before an excellent showing from Colin Currie, who scored 0-13, helped the defending Dublin, Leinster, and All-Ireland champions advance.

Match tickets for this weekend's games can be found here.

And if you can't make it to Parnell Park, the games will also be shown live on DubsTV.
