Speaking at the event, Ken O’Sullivan, Chair of Dublin GAA said, “We are delighted to welcome PTSB to the Dublin GAA family. PTSB are a huge supporter of sport and indeed of grassroots sport in Ireland for many years now, and it’s brilliant to see them take that first step with Gaelic games in Dublin.
“With 28 branches in Dublin, PTSB is already supporting many of our clubs at a local level but this support of our flagship club competitions goes beyond that again. We have some of the best athletes in the country pulling on their club colours with pride, their talents deserve to be highlighted equally, something that the team in PTSB will help us to do.
“However, this partnership goes further than just the Senior grade and will support all grades of competition. It will allow us to keep investing in our Games & Coaching Development Programmes right across the county and in all our clubs and schools, ensuring a vibrant and thriving club game.
“We look forward to working with PTSB in the years ahead and seeing our games elevated to a new level across the board.”
Welcoming the new partnership, Eamonn Crowley, CEO of PTSB, said, “At PTSB, we are proud to support Dublin GAA and the club game across every code and grade. Gaelic Games play a unique role in Ireland in bringing people together, with inclusive, community-based participation for men, women, boys and girls of all ages and abilities.
“For 210 years, PTSB has been deeply rooted in the communities we serve. This partnership reflects our long-standing commitment to positively impact these communities and our belief in the importance of grassroots sport in helping communities thrive. We look forward to working with Dublin GAA to champion local clubs, recognise the contribution of players and volunteers, and support the development of GAA at the heart of community life across Dublin.”
