RIP: Dublin camogie legend Eileen Duffy-O’Mahony

Dublin camogie legend Eileen Duffy-O'Mahony has passed away.

The eight-time All-Ireland winner was named on the Camogie Association’s Team of the Century in 2004 as their goalkeeping selection.

Eileen, born in 1930, played senior intercounty from 1949-1957 - captaining the team glory in 1957.

She also won five Dublin championships with the Celtic camogie club.

Eileen was the Leinster goalkeeper when the first Interprovincial game was played in Navan to mark the Golden Jubilee of Cumann Camogaiochta in 1954.
