Paul Mannion kicked nine points as Kilmacud Crokes got the better of Skerries Harps by 1-18 to 3-7 in their Go-Ahead Ireland Dublin Adult Football League Division 1 meeting at Páirc de Búrca on Sunday morning.

The hosts started with the wind at their backs and struck early through a Dara Mullin goal but Harps raised two green flags themselves to trail by just two points by the break.

Kilmacud impressed in the second-half with Mannion shining in attack while the likes of James Murphy, Ross McGowan, Mark O’Leary, Ben Shovlin and Luke O’Kelly all played their part as the contest evolved.

O’Leary and substitute Shane Cunningham kicked two points apiece with the home scoring completed by Leo Fearon, Cillian O’Shea, Eoghan O’Donovan, Aidan Jones and Darragh Dempsey.

There was another home win in Marley Park as Ballinteer St John’s completed their second win on the bounce when beating Na Fianna by 2-10 to 1-11.

The first-half was a tight affair with a two-pointer from BSJ’s Seamus Fenton leaving the teams deadlocked at 0-4 apiece before the hosts took control after the interval.

Joey Quirke scored 1-1 in the third quarter and further points by Liam Fenton, Jack Long and Seamus Fenton kept them on the front foot.

A second home goal arrived through Liam Fenton with ten minutes left as St John’s claimed a deserved win through the efforts of David Devereux, Matthew Gardiner, Oisin Grady and Donal Ryan.

In Saggart, St Mary’s scored goals at crucial times as they edged St Jude’s by 2-6 to 1-8.

Rhys Butler shone in the home defence and with Colin Lawlor and Adam Drewett showing well further up the field, goals by Shane Buckley and Conor Jameson proved worth their weight in gold by the final whistle.

In Go-Ahead Ireland AFL2, Fintan Dignam scored 1-2 as Templeogue Synge Street defeated Clanna Gael Fontenoy by 3-8 to 1-10 at Sean Moore Park.

The visitors were indebted to Conor Curran, Barra Dignam and Cathal Murphy over the hour and with Evan Sheehan and James Patterson also netting, they did enough to prevail courtesy of four Cillian Finn points and a Harry O’Donovan brace.

In TU Blanchardstown, St Oliver Plunkett’s/Eoghan Ruadh dominated at midfield when overcoming Erin’s Isle by 1-15 to 1-11.

Their pairing of Sean O’Connor and Jack O’Shea were hugely instrumental in their victory with the latter also scoring their solitary goal and the hosts made certain of the win thanks to the point-scoring returns of both Garreth Smith and Luke Hughes.

It proved more comfortable for Naomh Olaf at Páirc Uí Bhriain with Jack Feehan, Padraic Morgan and Sean O’Driscoll all to the fore in their 1-16 to 0-12 win against KilmacudCrokes.
