Trinity Gaels cemented their mid-table position in Division 3 of the Go-Ahead Ireland Dublin Adult Football League when pipping Thomas Davis by 0-23 to 0-22 in Drumnigh last Saturday evening.
The visitors looked well set for victory as they led by 0-17 to 0-7 at half-time but Gaels dominated after the break with Liam Glynn, Evan McDonagh, Jack Rowe, Craig Reilly, Josh McCann and Cathal Barrett all impressing.
Reilly kicked a trio of two-pointed scores to kickstart his team’s comeback and with McCann also scoring six points, the hosts managed to get over the line thanks to four points from Jack Rowe, three Liam Glynn scores and a vital two-pointed effort by goalkeeper Thomas McCann.
St Anne’s also registered their fourth win of the campaign with Dara McGrath, Cian O’Byrne, Sam Flood and Sean Delappe all hugely influential in their 2-15 to 2-7 win against Cuala.
Jack O’Neill (1-3) and Scott Fulham (1-1) scored the home goals and with Luke Perry and Delappe scoring 0-3 apiece, they built up a winning total thanks to further scores by Darragh Fulham, O’Byrne and Aaron McGrath.
At the top of the table, matters are incredibly tight with two points separating the top six sides after former leaders Clanna Gael Fontenoy lost top spot following their 0-22 to 0-15 home defeat to St Maur’s.
This result allowed Erin’s Isle to take over at the summit following their 2-17 to 0-12 win against St Finian’s Swords while Ballyboughal kept up their impressive form of late when defeating St Margaret’s by 4-13 to 0-15.
