The Go-Ahead Ireland Dublin Adult Football League Division 3 table is beginning to take shape with Na Fianna keeping in touch with the leaders following their narrow 0-20 to 2-13 win over Round Towers Clondalkin at Dardistown on Sunday morning.
The hosts impressed at the back through the efforts of Sean Hayes, Eoin Killarney and Liam Fay while Jack Lacey was an influential figure around the middle third.
The bulk of the scoring was shared by Ben Kane, Andrew Baxter and Donagh Fay with Thomas Connell kicking two vital points when introduced from the bench.
In Drumnigh, goals proved key as St Margaret’s pulled away in the second-half to defeat 14-man Trinity Gaels by 3-15 to 0-12.
The visitors led by 1-7 to 0-7 at half-time, with Damian Murphy, Mark Hanlon and Jack Stynes impressing in defence and both Jimmy Hempenstall and Nathan Dolan worked tirelessly further up the field.
The influential Charlie Madigan (1-3) and David Smyth (1-2) proved a nuisance for the home defence and with Shane Madigan also netting, St Margaret’s won by double scores thanks to further points by Jack Murphy, Jamie McGuinness, Brian Shanahan, Con Sutton and Niall Kennedy.
There was another away win in Hyde Park as Naomh Fionnbarra did just enough to pip Cualaby 1-15 to 1-14.
The accuracy from kick-outs of Ross Grimes in goal handed the visitors a solid platform with full-back Cian Peppard Leonard and Jay Roe contributing massively to the Barrs win.
Karl Grimes kicked six points from frees with 1-1 by Preston Cowan proving pivotal by the final whistle.
Both Ballyboughal and Pobal Parnell lead the way at the summit of the table following their home wins against Thomas Davis and St Sylvester’s respectively.

In AFL4, Craobh Chiaráin continue to impress as they maintained their lead at the top by beating St Patrick’s Donabate by 3-11 to 0-11 in Clonshaugh.
The hosts impressed all over the field, from a dominant Kevin Hetherton at centrefield, to half-backs Cillian Clarke and Jack Murray.
Clarke was rewarded for his efforts with 1-1 and with Cian Derwin (0-2), Billy Ryan (0-4) and Sean McHugh (0-2) combining well throughout, Craobh eased home through 1-1 from Sam Coyne and a point from the hard-working Aaron Cooling.
In Ballyogan, Sam Clancy took the scoring honours as Man O’War registered a high-scoring 3-24 to 2-15 victory over Geraldine P. Morans.
Clancy kicked a mammoth 3-6 from play and with Daniel Moore, Sean Hussey, Conor Dolan and Charlie Dolan adding scores at regular intervals, the visitors made sure of the win thanks to impressive displays from Jack Clancy, Anthony Kelly and Cillian O’Mahoney.
O’Toole’s picked up their first win of the campaign as they accounted for Fingal Ravens by 1-20 to 2-9 at Blunden Drive.
Luke Gifford was a constant threat from centre-forward for the Larriers, scoring 0-9 in total, with the home tally enhanced by 1-4 from Scott Walker and a brace of Cathal Keane points.
The impact from the bench was central for an O’Toole’s side that remained on the front foot through strong individual performances by Mick Concarr, Shane Finlay, Danny McLoughlin and Daithí Concarr.
