Crumlin continue to impress towards the summit of the Go-Ahead Ireland Dublin Adult Hurling League Division 3 table following their comfortable 3-21 to 1-15 victory over Scoil Uí Chonaill at Pearse Park on Sunday morning. 

The hosts trailed by seven points at half-time but took control upon the restart as they took full advantage of the breeze at their backs to net on three occasions through Kevin Byrne (2) and Lee Coleman. 

The latter also added six points from play and with Peter Elliott, Dara Fitzgerald and Kyle Clare shining at the back, Crumlin pulled away through further points by Sam Caswell, Ryan Smith, Philip Burgess, Kevin Elliott and Adam Doyle. 

There was another home win at Páirc Naomh Uinsionn as St Vincent’s finally recorded their first win of the season when beating Kilmacud Crokes (1) by 2-15 to 1-13. 

Both Cathal Williams and Ronan O’Neill were instrumental on the scoreboard for the hosts with Aidan Tancred, Simon Gormley and David Garland also to the fore for Vinnies. 

On Saturday afternoon, Naomh Fionnbarra recovered from an eight-point deficit on their way to a 5-11 to 3-17 draw against Whitehall Colmcille at Collins Avenue. 

The hosts looked set for victory thanks to the excellence of Paddy Spellacy from frees and open play but a brace of Jay Roe goals and further green flags raised by Conor Carberry, Cian Peppard Leonard and Ruairi McGrath saw the ‘Barrs escape with a share of the spoils.  

Cuala continue to lead the table as they completed their third successive win when easing past Setanta by 4-19 to 1-6 in Poppintree.

On Friday night, early goals from Sean Boyle and Luke Whelan proved pivotal as Castleknock picked up their second win of their AHL4 campaign when beating a battling Skerries Harps by 4-17 to 4-10 at Somerton Park.

Those goals built a narrow 2-7 to 2-6 interval lead and the hosts extended their advantage in the third quarter through a trio of points by the lively Oisín Toland and further scores from Matthew Coughlan, Cillian Clarke and Keith Murray. 

While they saw their lead reduced to two points at one stage, Castleknock finished on the front foot with another Boyle goal easing the pressure and they completed their win thanks to 1-10 by Cillian Downey that included two points from sideline balls.  

That victory keeps them two points behind league leaders Na Fianna, who claimed victory in their top of the table clash against Clanna Gael Fontenoy, winning by 2-15 to 1-14 at Sean Moore Park.   

They head the table by two points as previously unbeaten St Peregrine’s lost to O’Toole’s by 1-21 to 1-11 at Blakestown Road with Kevins also right in the mix following their emphatic 3-14 to 0-5 victory against pointless Ballyboden St Enda’s.
