Mon, 8 June 2026

Round 11 in Division 1 of the PTSB Dublin GAA Adult Football League took place across the weekend with Na Fianna picking up their fourth win on the bounce when overcoming leaders Ballyboden St Enda’s by 1-12 to 0-12 at Mobhi Road on Saturday afternoon.

The hosts led by 1-6 to 0-5 at the break with Eoin O’Dea scoring the all-important goal while Seamus Smith kicked three points for the hosts.

The free-taking of Callum O’Dwyer kept St Enda’s in the hunt while Ryan Basquel converted a two-pointer upon the restart but David Lacey kicked a red flag of his own before Liam Patten added an insurance point for Na Fianna.

Kilmacud Crokes took advantage of Ballyboden’s loss to assume top spot as they eased past St Patrick’s Donabate by 3-20 to 0-11 on Sunday morning.

Across in Marley Park, Ballinteer St John’s overcame a sloppy start as they registered a high-scoring 3-19 to 3-14 victory against St Vincent’s.

The visitors raced into an early 1-3 to 0-0 lead but an Aaron Bradshaw goal and a brace of two-pointers from Eoghan Fitzpatrick saw St John’s lead by 1-8 to 1-5 at half-time.

The third quarter was full of drama as goals from the influential Finn Nolan and Dave Devereux were cancelled out at the opposite end by a Sean Lowry brace but the hosts finished on the front foot with Joey Quirke accruing seven points by the final whistle.

There was another home victory in Tymon Park as St Jude’s enhanced their survival prospects when edging Castleknock by 2-16 to 2-12.

The hosts were best served over the hour by Alex Hassett, Oisín Gough and Kieran Doherty while Mick Lawlor top scored with a personal tally of 1-3.

Seamus Noone also raised a green flag and with Liam Toye kicking three points, St Jude’s did enough to prevail thanks to two points apiece from Alan Connolly, Doherty, Kamen Bagnall and Hugh O’Neill.

In AFL2, Fingal Ravens kept up their promotion charge as they controlled the final quarter to beat Templeogue Synge Street by 0-16 to 1-10 at Dolphin Park on Saturday afternoon.

The visitors controlled large parts of the first-half as strong defensive displays from Jake Donnelly and Callum Monaghan, augmented by scores from Dylan Kettle, Eric Donohue and Jake Pope helped them to a healthy 0-11 to 0-4 interval advantage.

Synger responded with 1-4 on the bounce to draw level by the end of the third quarter but Ravens regained the initiative through a brace of fine points from corner-back Jack Ryan and insurance points by Niall Daly, Pope and Sean Kinsella.

The victory keeps the Rolestown outfit in joint top spot alongside a St Oliver Plunkett’s/Eoghan Ruadh side that pipped Naomh Mearnóg by 2-14 to 1-15.

At the opposite end of the table, St Maur’s ended their losing streak with a crucial 3-9 to 2-10 victory over Clanna Gael Fontenoy at Sean Moore Park on Sunday morning.
