Round-Up PTSB Dublin Senior 1 Hurling Championship Round 3
Mon, 17 August 2026

Cuala maintained their unbeaten run in the PTSB Dublin Senior 1 Hurling Championship when easing past St Brigid’s by 0-26 to 1-15 in their Group 2 encounter at Parnell Park on Saturday afternoon.

Their defence excelled throughout with Sean Moran, Eoghan O’Callaghan and Conor Groarke to the fore while six Donal O’Shea points and a trio of Jamie Conroy scores left them well-placed at the break, leading by 0-14 to 0-7.

Conroy added three further points from play upon the restart while O’Shea finished with 0-9 with Paul Winters firing home a consolation goal from a free for St Brigid’s in the 60thminute.

The second part of the Donnycarney double-header saw Lucan Sarsfields impress in the first-half on their way to an unconvincing 0-28 to 3-14 victory over St Jude’s.

Colm Walsh excelled from centre-back on his return to the line-up while eight Ben Coffey points saw Lucan enter the break with a commanding 0-15 to 0-5 lead.

Any thoughts of an easy victory were dispelled upon the restart as St Jude’s struck for goals through Danny Sutcliffe, Conor Nolan and Cathal Martin but Coffey’s personal tally of thirteen points was enough to get Sarsfields over the line.

In O’Toole Park, Ballyboden St Enda’s dominated the final quarter when picking up their first win of the campaign against local rivals Faughs by 1-24 to 2-15.

Having lost narrowly to both Lucan and St Brigid’s, Boden got back on track with Darragh Kenny doing the bulk of the damage as he finished with 1-11 to his name.

The sides were deadlocked at 0-10 to 1-7 at the interval with Brian Murray netting for Faughs and while Chris Bennett added another green in the second-half, St Enda’s finished on the front foot through a Kenny goal and two points apiece from substitutes Niall McMorrow and Luke McDwyer.

Kilmacud Crokes are another team with full points from their three matches to date as they did enough to see off a battling Erin’s Isle by 1-23 to 2-12 in their Group 1 clash at O’Toole Park.

All the goals arrived in the first-half with Nathan Fitzgerald and Mike Donohoe striking for Isles while an Alex Hatt goal edged Crokes into a 1-13 to 2-7 interval lead.

Ronan Hayes was Kilmacud’s scorer-in-chief with 0-11 (7f) while Oisín O’Rorke and Caolán Conway chipped in with three points apiece for the winners.

On Friday night, St Vincent’s picked up a crucial 1-28 to 5-15 victory over Whitehall Colmcille in Parnell Park, registering their first win in Group 1 in the process.

Following losses to both Kilmacud Crokes and Erin’s Isle, Vinnies were under pressure to deliver but trailed by 2-12 to 0-16 at the break following goals at either end of the half from Lee Gannon and Eoghan O’Donnell.

An own goal from Mark O’Farrell and a further O’Donnell strike saw Whitehall maintain their narrow lead in the second-half and matters deteriorated for the Marino side when O’Farrell was dismissed early in the final quarter.

However, a sumptuous Conor Burke goal saw Vinnies back in the mix and with John Hetherton returning from injury, they edged home with substitute Stephen Williams scoring the winning point in injury time.

Matters were far more straightforward for Na Fianna, who secured their third win on the bounce when overcoming Naomh Barróg by 4-22 to 2-15 with the bulk of the damage done in the opening-half.

John Tierney helped himself to a first-half hat-trick, with the influential Donal Burke providing the assist on two occasions as their side pushed 3-15 to 1-7 ahead at the turnaround.

The dismissal of Conor McHugh early in the second-half allowed Barróg a greater degree of possession but despite a brace of goals from Dylan Duggan, they were unable to close the gap sufficiently with substitute AJ Murphy netting in added time for Na Fianna.

PTSB SHC1 Group 1: St Vincent’s 1-28 Whitehall Colmcille 5-15; Naomh Barróg 2-15 Na Fianna 4-22; Kilmacud Crokes 1-23 Erin’s Isle 2-12.
