Senior footballers to face Mayo for 16th time in SFC action

It's All-Ireland SFC semi-final weekend, with all four provinces represented in a programme which is as follows: 

SATURDAY

Dublin v Mayo, Croke Park, 5.0 (preceded by Cork v Mayo in the minor semi-final at 3.0).

SUNDAY

Kerry v Tyrone, Croke Park, 3.30 (preceded by Kerry v Galway in the minor semi-final at 1.30).

DUBLIN v MAYO

They meet for the 16th time in the championship, with Dublin having won nine of the previous 15 to Mayo's two while there were four draws, the most recent draw coming in the 2016 All-Ireland final.

* Mayo are seeking their first win over Dublin since the 2012 All-Ireland semi-final. The counties have met 14 times since then, with Dublin winning 11 and drawing three. Dublin's wins were in the 2013, 2016 and 2017 All-Ireland finals, the 2015 semi-final replay, the Allianz League in 2013 (twice), 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019. The draws were in the 2015 All-Ireland semi-final, the 2016 All-Ireland final and the 2014 League.

* Dublin's last championship defeat was in the 2014 semi-final when they lost by six points to Donegal.

* Dublin beat Mayo by 1-12 to 0-7 in their Allianz League clash in Croke Park last February.

* Dublin and Mayo have met 51 times in League and Championship. Wins stand 30-13 in Dublin's favour, with eight draws.

* Jim Gavin is leading Dublin into the semi-final for the eighth time, having won five, lost one and drawn one of the previous seven.

* James Horan is leading Mayo into the semi-final for the sixth time, having won two, lost two and drawn one of the previous five.
