ST SYLVESTER'S 1-16 LUCAN SARSFIELDS 1-12 (After extra-time)
St Sylvester's eventually progressed to the last-eight of the Dublin SFC following this second round victory after extra-time in Finglas on Friday night.
In a pulsating battle the Malahide men found the scores in extra-time to secure victory with late points form Alan Foy, Conor Meaney and Ed Walsh sealing victory for Jack Sheedy's side.
Syls had led by eight points at one stage of normal time and still held a six-point advantage going into the last ten minutes.
However, Lucan performed the great escape to force the game into extra-time following two points from Tommy Brennan and a converted penalty by Brendan Gallagher.
Sylvester's had led from the first whistle with Glen Hazley's goal after just 15 seconds giving his side the dream start.
Points from Walsh, Ross (pictured) and Jack Hazley as well as Dylan Connolly had Syls eight points to the good inside 12 minutes.
Lucan recovered as the half progressed and points from Brennan, Darren Gavin and Emmett O Conghaile closed the gap with Sylvester's leading 1-8 to 0-5 at half-time in normal time.
The northsiders looked to be heading for victory late in the second half before Lucan lifted themselves for one final scoring surge to draw level with Brennan's equalizing free coming in the third minute of injury-time.
