Leinster U20 Development Competition – Rd 2

The Dublin U20 management team have named their squad for this Tuesday’s (July 8th) second round game versus Meath at Bective GFC, Navan.

The action will get underway at 19:30pm. Tickets for the game are on sale via this link https://bit.ly/4kpDm02 or by logging onto www.universe.com Cash will also be accepted at the gate.

Both Counties got their respective 2025 U20 Leinster campaigns off to a perfect start last week. Dublin defeated Offaly by 4-15 to 0-04 while Meath shrugged off the Kildare challenge registering a 1-16 to 0-04 victory.

Sarah Jane Lyons a member of the Meath U20 winning panel from 2024 was the Royal’s top scorer in their win over Kildare bagging 1-02 from play. Last year’s Meath winning captain and Leinster final POM award winner Róisín McManus tagged on 0-02pts while Ellie Murphy and Ciara Doherty added on 0-04pts each to the overall Meath tally.

Dublin full forwards Amber McCloskey and Ellen Leddy Doyle hit Offaly with an combined tally of 2-05 while Timea Kovacs and Sarah Condron also got in on the goal scoring action for the Dubs.

Without doubt both teams have some very talented forwards at their disposal players who have the ability to turn the game on its head in an instant. This game has all the ingredients of another classic Dublin versus Meath encounter and a contest not to be missed.
