Following on from Dublin’s drawn game against Waterford last weekend in Dungarvan means that score difference will most likely now come into play to determine who tops group four and who locks in home advantage for the quarter finals.

Not only do Dublin require a win on Saturday over Leitrim but they also need to score highly in order to put themselves in a good position to try to secure home advantage in the next round.

With no game this weekend, Waterford will travel to Avant Money Páirc Seán Mac Diarmada on June 21st fully armed with the knowledge or what they have to do to secure pole position in group four.

Leitrim travel to the capital on Saturday not having had a competitive game in six weeks.

On May 3rd Leitrim suffered a heavy 2-22 to 0-05 defeat to Galway. The previous weekend Leitrim had pushed Mayo to the pin of their collar upon their return to the senior ranks in this TG4 Connacht SFC opener, but 14 wides cost them dearly in Swinford. Mayo holding on in the end to register a 2-11 to 1-11 victory.

Key players for Leitrim and ones to watch for are All Ireland winning captain Michelle Guckian, defender Charlene Tyrrell and dynamic forwards Ailbhe Clancy and Muireann Devaney.
