U16 footballers open Gerry Reilly campaign against Kildare

Dublin's under-16 footballer open their 2018 Gerry Reilly Tournament campaign when they face Kildare on Wednesday night in St Conleth's Park, Newbridge (7.30).

The Dubs are in Group B along with Antrim and Down as well as the Lilywhites. This year's 15-county tournament began last weekend and will continue until early September.

The top two counties in each group will progress to the quarter-finals. All knockout games ie from quarter-finals onwards will be held in host club, Meath's Oldcastle GFC.

After Wednesday night's game the Dubs will play Down in Abbotstown this Saturday (12.0) before concluding their group games away to Antrim.


Group A: Cavan, Fermanagh, Longford, Westmeath

Group B: Antrim, Down, Dublin, Kildare

Group C: Louth, Meath, Monaghan (have withdrawn), Offaly

Group D: Carlow, Laois, Wicklow, Wexford
