Dublin U20 footballers were beaten 2-17 to 1-7 by Galway in their concluding game of the John Kerins Cup in Duggan Park, Ballinasloe on Saturday afternoon.
Galway, who had already secured the title after their 100 per cent win run with victories over Kildare, Cork and Kerry, were clearly the better side on the day and led 2-6 to 1-3 by the break.
St Maur's Ciaran Archer got Dublin's only goal of the contest and finished with 1-5 overall, with Castleknock's Darragh Warnock contributing Dublin's other two scores.
Dublin face Longford in a EirGrid Leinster U20FC quarter-final in Glennon Bros Pearse Park on Tuesday, July 2 (7.30).
