Walter Thompson (RIP)
All in Dublin LGFA are deeply saddened to learn today of the passing of our former County Chairperson (1993-1996)- Walter Thompson (Erins Isle).
Wally was instrumental in the formation of underage competitions in the capital a move which turned out to be the catalyst for the huge growth and indeed popularity of our sport amongst Dublin clubs.
Wally went on to serve as national President of the LGFA from 2000-2003.
We where honoured to have Wally (pictured centre) join us back in May 2025 as Dublin LGFA celebrated our 40th Anniversary at a special event held in Parnell Park.
