Classy Cuala too strong for Craobh

CUALA 4-16 CRAOBH CHIARAIN 1-11

Three first half goals from Cuala put them on their way to a commanding victory in this Dublin SHC 'A' quarter-final on Wednesday night.

A third minute penalty by David Treacy gave Cuala the ideal start and before the half-time interval Mark Scutte and Colm Cronin had added goals as the Dalkey side entered the break 3-7 to 1-8 to the good.

As ever Alan McCrabbe was Chiaráins scorer-in-chief as his 1-4 (frees) first half tally kept his side in contact.

Two minutes after the restart they were rocked however when Cronin fired his second goal to the net as Cuala ran out comfortable 14-point victors.

Cuala now progress to face Ballyboden St Enda's in Sunday's semi-final at Parnell Park (4.0) after the quarter-final replay of Lucan Sarsfields and O'Toole's (2.30), with St Jude's awaiting the winner in their semi-final.
