CCC2 Football & Hurling regulations for 2022 season

Tue, 15th February 2022

I attach CCC2 Football & Hurling regulations for the 2022 season - Separate regulations will be issued for U16 Championships in late August.

Can I also draw your attention to the following:

  • Water breaks are no longer
  • Mentors / Maor Uisce cannot bring water on to the pitch. Player must go over to the sideline if they want water.
  • No Maor Foirne / Mentor permitted to enter the pitch.
  • U15 Football now using size 4 ball
  • Red and Yellow cards can now be issued to mentors for inappropriate behaviour.
  • Cynical Black cards in hurling is only at Inter County level.
  • Only 2 mentors permitted to attend an injured player.
  • All mentors must wear bibs on the sideline to identify themselves. Fines will be applied when reported.
  • Team sheets are to be given to refs before the game as per rule.
  • For all matches unlimited substitutions may be made. A player may be substituted on or off more than once
  • Sub slips (including blood and concussion subs) must be given to the ref at the time the substitution ion is made. Note, you only need to provide a slip to players who start the match on the sideline.
  • Referees have been instructed to report all instances of abuse.

The fines around mentors not wearing bibs and failure to supply appropriate team sheets have been in place by CCC2 for several years. The committee is making clubs aware these fines will be issued in 2022 and payment sought.
