I attach upcoming juvenile fixtures from CCC1 & CCC2.
Re: recent U8 Football Blitz
If your blitz didn't proceed as scheduled on Saturday , can the clubs mutually agree an alternative mid week date in the coming weeks.
U15 Football Championship
This Sunday sees 64 teams in action in Four Championships.
extract from U15 Football & Hurling Championship regulations:
"There is extra time in all games including semi-finals and finals (as per T.O. 2018). Extra time will be two periods of ten minutes as per rule. If teams still level, two further periods of five minutes will be played. If still no winner, a Replay will take place. I do not apologise for posting the below correspondence again concerning CCC2 Referees.
Below is the process if a Referee is not available in the first place or unable to travel to a revised venue ( we have had Referees travelling across the city to the new venue only to find another Referee in situ - the Clubs assumed the original Referee would not travel and therefore sought a replacement Referee).
As per issued fixtures circulated each week (found at the top of each page and referring to Saturday / Sunday games) “if the referee is not available, the mentor to text details to 087-1856380 by 9.30am Thursday Morning”
In addition the following appears in CCC2 League Regulations:
You don't email juvresults@dublingaa.ie when a Referee is not available.
You can email me at secretarybng.dublin@gaa.ie for information purposes if you want to ( I will amend the fixture details if the venue is being reversed and also reverse venue for any second round game in the competition ) BUT I will not act to seek a replacement referee.
If the Referee is not available any member of your team management to text details to 087-1856380 ( the same number as the Result Text the Home Mentor receives before each game).
The above relates to a situation when a Referee is not available. However, it is disappointing that on a regular basis the majority of Home Mentors continue to fail to make contact with the assigned Referee in advance of their fixture ( just assume the Referee will turn up !! ) . Therefore with the current weather conditions , Referees are not being told that games are off ( again the assumption seems to be that Referees should know this !! )
Please make sure all your CCC2 mentors aware of the protocol around a referee not being available and the requirement to ALWAYS make contact with the assigned Referee prior to the game ( home mentors should always check our website prior to a game , especially in these weather conditions , in order to have the most up to date assigned Referee - in case a Referee is not longer available and has been replaceed).
