Dublin GAA Juvenile update Friday 29th September

Dublin GAA Juvenile update Friday 29th September

Fri, 29th September 2023

A Rúnaí, a chara,

I attach upcoming juvenile fixtures:

  • CCC1 Hurling for Saturday 7th October.
  • CCC2 Football for Saturday/Sunday 7th/8th October

I wish to repeat the message issued during the week.

CCC2 Referees

Last weekend CCC2 struggled in trying to make sure 150+ games, in particular U16 Championship games, had an assigned referee.

We had Referees turning up for games only to find the teams had called the game off.

The regulations about contacting referees and protocol in seeking a replacement in place now for several years.

The most up to date information is always on the website.

Please note from now on , if referee not contacted and CCC2 struggling for referees, they will be reassigned. CCC2 will also take into account the Clubs who despite reminders over the last three years continue to supply the committee with no referees or the odd referee which is insufficient when considering the number of teams entered by the Club into CCC2 competitions.

U14 Knockout games

As per issued regulations there is extra time in all U14 Knock-out games. Extra time will be two periods of ten minutes. If teams still level, two further periods of five minutes will be played. If still no winner, a Replay will take place ( for U16 Championship please consult regulations).

Fixtures viewable / downloadable at https://www.dublingaa.ie/juvenile/weekly-fixtures and https://www.dublingaa.ie/competitions/juvenile

Remember the most up to date information for this weekend’s games can be viewed at https://www.dublingaa.ie/competitions/juvenile and not necessarily per the issued email of official fixtures dated Friday 22/09/23.
